Topan Pendant
The simplest objects are often the most robust and rememberable, the Topan Pendant is a brilliant example. This was Verner Panton’s first mass made, and then the FlowerPot. The simplicity and coolness of Topan is proving to be enduring. In 1960, Topan was originally built in Trondheim, Norway for Astoria hotel and restaurant. For his textile designs, Panton used Geometri I to IV to provide the space with a standardised picture on floors, walls, and ceilings. The Topan pendants were hung all over and separated into larger and more smaller rooms.
