Ronde Pendant

Ronde is the word for round, circular or revolving in many languages but it is also the flat blank used in the metal spinning method, which rotates around a centre of the mould and forms a 3-dimensional structure. One interesting feature is the top opening with an overhanging collar that resembles a container like a vase or an amphora. The mostly downward guided light from traditional pendant lamps also spreads out of the spout-like opening in this design and casts a smooth gradient of light at the wire and ceiling. For an ultra-matt lacquer, the hand-turned aluminium lampshade almost makes it look like it was made of ceramics.
