The Panton Chair is traditional of furniture design. Verner Panton invented it back in 1960, and he produced a version, together with Vitra, that was ready for series production (1967). This was pure plastic chair, the very first single mold. The Panton Chair has experienced several phases of development since its arrival on the market. Thanks to its cantilever foundation, versatile materials and design which is shaped for the human body, the chair provides great sitting comfort. Its geometric shape means it looks fine in its own right or grouped together.It can be applied outdoors and indoors. The Panton Chair has received multiple design awards worldwide and owes thanks to the collections of several museums of renown. Its expressive nature makes it a true architecture symbol of the 20th century.
