The name of the series fits with the Chinese character that represents the basic character of the city: continuous movement, dynamism and frenetic activity. The Jie character of a revolutionary and phonetic nature. The character is based on the tile patterns of the streets of Shanghai, where life literally takes place. The old ideograms of the Chinese character Jie reflect the street on one side as an intersection, evoking the lives at the intersecting points of the street, while the centre part of the character is shaped by two ALL characters whose ideogram shows a clay on the wheel of a potter, which is related in the series to the ceramic colours used by Neri&Hu. The product is an eclectic hand-tufted rug with varying pile heights and finishes, made of 100 per cent fresh wool, according to Neri & Hu.
