Haze Rug

The Haze Rug collection, Begüm Cana Özgür’s second creation, draws its inspiration from the exquisite interplay of colours found in nature when the haze gently envelops the surroundings. Within this unique synergy, colours engage in a poetic dialogue, forging a visual equilibrium that arises from an acute sensitivity to their interactions, often veering into realms beyond control.

Unlike conventional creative processes, Haze is a rug born directly on the loom, as the designer embarked on a voyage of discovery, experimenting with the harmonious intermingling and gradual blending of colours through optical means. Haze comes to life through the weaving of 50% New Zealand wool and 50% Italian wool — a warm material that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also easy to maintain and exceptionally durable.
