Gweilo Zhou

The Gweilo Zhou was created from the idea that light could be used and controlled to construct a physical object. The concept from Parachilna transformed light from the source. You can see the sun but only guess the structure, with a name meaning ghost in mandarin. Each light is made of acrylic by hand with thermoforming–a technique that enables individual sculptures of graded optical acrylic sheets to be created while they are still in a warm plastic state. Therefore, every light is special.
