Flowerpot Pendant
The revolution of 1968 in Paris, Rome and the United States overthrew traditional, ancient ideals that promoted unity, love and harmony in the Flower Power generation. In 2001, Stanley Kubrick described the future with the Verner Panton Chair and soon man was to walk on the moon. In architecture, in restaurants and exhibits and very early in, in everybody’s homes, there was a bright, playful pendant. The FlowerPot has long been proven to be of a lasting design quality, with its two semi-circular spheres facing each other. Throughout his early life, Panton regularly set off from Copenhagen to a peculiarly-looking converted Öwagen for a trip across Europe.
