Collage 1966 Rug
Collage 1966 Rug – Eduardo Chillida’s artwork (1924-) reflects one of the greatest late 20th-artistic achievements. The Chillida series was created to pay homage to the artist on the basis of a chronological selection of his work: Figura Humana-1948, Dibujo Tinta-1957, and Collage-1966, pieces that represent the gestation phase of his renowned sculpture: Peine del Viento in San Sebastian. There are also two depictions of his prominent hands in the collection: Mano and Manos from the nineties and Gravitacii n from 1993 and 1994. The artistic nuances of Chillida were faithfully translated into tapes, all handmade using different techniques and fibres, such as wool, silk, and hand-spun and hand-spun mohair, to create different textures, showcasing the essence of his work.
