Encountered with the challenge of blank paper, on the designer rugs, some writers catch their very essence. Every one of these four unique designs is created by a graphic and industrial designer, a painter, a fashion designer and a writer and art gallery owner, in which four very personal interpretations of the rug as a contemporary object are articulated. All have something in common: to prefer the absence of monochrome colour, black and white, to reinforce their identity. A dichotomy in nature. A canvas with horizontal proportions. A piece of underfoot art.
