HAY’s 13Eighty chair designed by Dutch designers Scholten & Baijings is aptly named after the number of tiny holes in the moulded polypropylene shell. These perforations create a characteristic aesthetic, where transparency and a play of light and shadows add to the chair’s expression, while the variations in the sizes of the holes bring a sense of movement to the visual appearance. They also have a functional use in draining rainwater off when the chairs are used outdoors. Available with or without armrests in a stackable design that features steel legs with a weather-resistant coating to make it suitable for outdoor use.
Adnet Rectangulaire Wall Mirror
The Adnet Rectangulaire Mirror originates from the partnership of the designer Jaques Adnet and a famous French fashion house in 1950’s. By applying the fashion house’s knowledge and high quality of leather to Jacques Andet’s innovative thinking and design vision, the two parts created a series of remarkable interior designs. Among them were the Adnet Rectangulaire leather mirror studded with burnished brass rivets on the edges, a characteristic detailing of Adnet’s work.
With its simplicity of design combined with the warmth of leather and finest detailing, the Adnet Rectangulaire Mirror in three sizes serves equally well in a hallway, bathroom and dressing room, either horizontal, vertical, mounted to the wall or spontaneously leaned against it. It adds depth, reflect light, expand horizons and add a magical allure.
A group of lines that create an elegant, fascinating symphony in a suspended, almost magical equilibrium and give life to a new lamp designed to feature in large public and private spaces. Aluminium elements flow and combine together to give the lamp a light, bodiless effect.
Mayor shows a moderation of modernism and a unique regional adaptation: the frame is made of solid oak, the upholstery is tight but with three loose cushions that comprise the seating area, and there is generally a more human approach to modernism with a focus on livability. The sofa is made of high quality materials. The tight upholstery and the two rows of elegant buttons that extend over the armrests and back give the sofa a simple and stylish look. Thus the sofa fits perfectly into both modern homes and workplaces, where quality and design are important parameters.
Palissade Cone Table
Based on the desire to develop a series of tables to complement the Palissade outdoor furniture collection, French design duo Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec teamed up with HAY to create the Cone Table. Its solid base and ultra-thin steel tabletop share the same graphic design idiom as the rest of the series, enabling the table to be strong without being bulky and elegant without being fragile. The series comprises various sizes with round and square tabletops; all featuring a stabilising concrete base. Specifically designed for outdoor use, the powder-coated steel has a protective outdoor primer for optimal durability and resilience. The collection is available in three different colours and is ideal for terraces, balconies, gardens, cafés and public spaces.
In Dutch, Polder refers to the artificial land reclaimed from the sea by means of dykes and drainage canals. The body of the Polder Sofa is just as low-lying, just as flat, and has just as much emphasis on the horizontal. Hella Jongerius chose for it five carefully selected colour combinations and fabric qualities, accentuating them with high-tech threads and large buttons made of natural materials. This adjustable modular sofa is perfect for fitting into any kind of room setting.
Visu Chair Wood Base Textile Frame
The VISU wood base chair is an ergonomic and functional chair with a timeless and recognizable profile. Formpressed veneer wood gives the shell of the chair its characteristic shape and creates visible lines and patterns in the surface that complement the design. The details and shapes of the wooden legs create an illusion of the chair floating elegantly over the floor.
