About A Chair (AAC11)
This version of About a Chair has a swivel base in powder-coated steel, which gives the chair a more formal expression, both because the wooden frame has been replaced with steel and because the delicate and elegant legs fan out from the centred base, almost standing on tiptoes and optically raising the chair off the floor. In this open version, the inviting seat offers an informal break in a private or professional context.
Available with seat pad in black Sierra Leather
A group of lines that create an elegant, fascinating symphony in a suspended, almost magical equilibrium and give life to a new lamp designed to feature in large public and private spaces. Aluminium elements flow and combine together to give the lamp a light, bodiless effect.
Bellevue AJ10 Table Lamp
In homage to Arne Jacobsen’s legendary architectural Bellevue projects, the Bellevue Lamp is captured in all its authenticity – in a lovely plug-in table lamp that comes in two versions; with and without switch. Boasting its signature swan neck and 45-degree shade, it is the epitome of beauty and simplicity in a curvaceous silhouette that beckons you to come closer. Watch for a modern mix of intriguing new colours and materials. Part of &tradition’s desire to keep this icon alive in the hearts and minds for generations to come.
Blown SW6 Table Lamp
The quilted surface texture of the Blown table lamp is distinctive in itself. Switched on, the lamp projects a pattern of reflections and refractions that add a touch of art to a cosy, intimate atmosphere. An extension of the small Blown pendant also by Samuel Wilkinson, it features a silver tinted translucent glass in the same small size, secured upright on a black marble base with a dimmer to adjust the light. Ideal in a private setting by a bedside, desk or windowsill, as well as a commercial or retail venue as part of a display, you can art direct the effect to be subtle or striking.
English designer John Astbury played with the proportions, surfaces and materials to create more than a shelf – but in a minimal expression that didn’t seem staged. The outcome? Two different shapes and various finishes. The long shelf is a soft rectangle and its little round sibling is the ideal companion. Pair them at varying heights and configurations, or place each on its own as a side table or in-shop display. Enjoy the option of waxed aluminium for both the shelf and supporting columns or black anodised aluminium for the shelf with oiled walnut.
An adjustable-height pendant lamp hangs down inside a frame, while a wireless version features non-contact charging functionality to power a luminescent lamp. Normally laying on the charging dock, the lamp can be moved around freely when lighting is needed elsewhere. A frame (this is the meaning of ‘gaku’ in Japanese) hosting and interacting with lamps and a variety of matching objects, which is conceived as something in between accessories and furniture.
GMG Chaise Longue
The GMG Chaise Longue was designed in 1951 by Greta M. Grossman and with playful elegance it is perfectly angled for lounging whilst preserving all the streamlined qualities of a mid-century design. Built in a shape designed for relaxation it mirrors the body’s natural curves while appearing to float above its distinctive slender legs – a genuine signature of Greta M. Grossman’s work. The GMG Chaise Longue shows a strong interest in merging functionality and comfort, while simultaneously remaining a delicate and powerful design language, revealing unique, light and iconic touches. Representing a literal link between European design and Californian modernism, Grossman designed the GMG Chaise Longue by successfully combining her Swedish fondness for colour and texture with the opportunities allowed by bright and open spaces of Southern California.
Loafer Armchair SC24
The Loafer chair takes after its sibling, the Loafer lounge chair by Space Copenhagen designed for Arne Jacobsen’s refurbished SAS Royal Hotel. Fine-tuned for high-end restaurants, upscale eating environments and private homes, the Loafer chair is a bit lighter, narrower, with a higher seat and a slight slope on either side to comfortably accommodate your arms. A fully upholstered chair that’s soft yet sturdy, you’ll feel like you’re dining in a hotel whether you actually are or not.
Miss K Table Lamp
Created by innovative design master Philippe Starck, the Miss K table lamp brings a delightful duality to its work. When unlit, its transparent PC (polycarbonate) outer diffuser—which is internally finished with a high vacuum aluminization process—rests with a sleek metallic tint. When the lamp is lit, the transparency of the diffuser is evident and it appears as if you’re looking at an x-ray of a lamp. The Miss K features a fully transparent, injection-molded PMMA (Polymethyl methacrylate, UL-94 HB) frame and an opal injection-molded PC (polycarbonate; UL-94 V0) internal diffuser. There is a dimmer for 0-100% luminosity and a transparent, polarized cord. The Miss K provides diffused light.
Large in size but light and dynamic, Plena provides dual lighting: reflected on the surface below it, and spreading towards the ceiling. An intriguing light, of special charm, to completely permeate a room while remaining soft and enveloping. Placed over a table, Plena never emits the slightest glare.
In Dutch, Polder refers to the artificial land reclaimed from the sea by means of dykes and drainage canals. The body of the Polder Sofa is just as low-lying, just as flat, and has just as much emphasis on the horizontal. Hella Jongerius chose for it five carefully selected colour combinations and fabric qualities, accentuating them with high-tech threads and large buttons made of natural materials. This adjustable modular sofa is perfect for fitting into any kind of room setting.
Rest is a sofa series with an inviting and warm appearance. The contrast between the defined back and bottom frame and the soft cushioning tells a story of the comfort that awaits you.
The Rest Series is a warm, curvaceous interpretation of a classic shape. With two and three-seater versions, Rest adds a welcoming, plush look to any space. Here, it maintains the timeless elegance of Scandinavian design through its sturdy frame, while its materials, such as solid oak legs and Kvadrat upholstery, make it a grand addition to your living room, lobby area or hotel
The new Revers Sofa by GUBI is a soft and sinuous interpretation of classic shapes and structures. Taking its name from the silhouette of a revers, the gently curved shell appears like a jacket that embraces you, while the elegantly sweeping edges are reminiscent of the form of the revers. With its clean lines and simple details, yet sturdy and exclusive materials, the Revers Sofa brings forward fresh and different opportunities for use and styling in combination with the entire GUBI collection of modern contemporary classics.
Sawura Table Light
A light consisting of two independent cylinders touching each other in a perpendicular direction. One plays the role of a light source, while the other acts as a base. Its projection angle can be adjusted in three stages of 25, 40 or 60 degrees, by inserting the pin attached to the base. Various functions are made possible by doing away with excess elements and creating a simple form.
Smithfield Ceiling Light
Designed by Jasper Morrison for FLOS, this ceiling light is part of the Smithfield family. The Smithfield C ceiling-mounted lamp manages to be both grand and unassuming. Providing direct light through its aluminum body, it is well suited for a variety of environments. Available in gloss black, white, or mud, its diffuser is injection-molded opalescent PC (polycarbonate).
