In a fine copper mesh jar, a white glass moil is caught and plunged into a wet clear opening. The air is pumped into the matrix and gently forced through the mesh by the white glass, forming a sensitive, pillowed shape, suspended within the thick outer glass layer. Often the copper mesh folds and crinkles the basket, giving each piece additional detail. External undulations are the normal product of the production process and stress the soft white pillow below. A xenon or an LED light source with a low voltage reflecting a warm copper color is inserted into the piece.

From a joint effort between Italian designer Luca Nichetto and the collaborative Nendo group formed by Japanese architect Oki Sato, a new lightweight, poetic, designed project emerged the new table lighting lamp for kurage. Jellyfish means jellyfish in Japanese kurage, which literally looks like a sea animal floating around the seas with suffused lights obtained through the use of the finest Japanese washi paper. Kurage is manufactured by a very unique manufacturing technique based on 3D washpaper.
Leaf blends a compact and elegant style with an energy-efficient LED design. The style is minimalist and straightforward, but a soft asymmetric geometry gives the lamp an organic and welcoming feel.
