Crash and Bell are two lamps motivated by stringed instruments which are separate but interchangeable. Crash looks like a cymbal while Bell looks just like its title implies. Both are available in bronze or aluminum colors and are given a small condensed grooves surface treatment. Both use the same multi-faceted blown glass item resembling vintage glassware which projects beams of fragmented light on the metal surface of the diffuser while at the same time leaving the naked bulb in full view in a clear reference to the industrial world. As a twosome or in groups on their own, it’s this double-light effect that gives Crash & Bell its strong and unique effects.

Duii, influenced by one of Donald Duck’s friendly nephews, surprises and amuses because of his personality, beginning with his name. The base still recalls the foot of a duck but it can be used as a handy trinket tray as well. The articulated arm, held together through wing screws like Meccano parts, supports a rounded body with a diffuser, a shape which in turn recalls a multitude of memories and inspirations: retro car headlights, a hard hat for a man, but also the Diesel brand’s Mohican-style shaved head.
As a result of the union between the centuries-of blown glass and metal’s modern appeal, Metal Glass resembles the stills of an alchemist or a lantern from a gothic world. It is characterized by a thick and almost invisible transparency which is accomplished by pouring soda powder into the vitreous paste which is still incandescent. The consequent chemical reaction produces a multitude of bubbles which, when the lamp is on, are transformed into luminous particles. Inside, the borosilicate glass cylinder spreads light when becoming part of the pattern.
