Artek was founded by four young idealists in 1935. Their objective was to “sell furniture and promote a modern culture of living by exhibitions and other educational means.” Artek’s collection consists of lighting, furniture and accessories, their main focus in the world of modern design is to incorporate art, design and architecture in their products, which portray clarity, functionality and simplicity.
