At Créma, we create a connection between local interior designers or architects and international furniture and lighting brands – and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Despite this, we are always on the lookout to work with local designers and companies. AKJP Studios is one of these companies, and while they’ve been personal favourites of ours for years now, we were incredibly excited to recently have our first opportunity to shoot with a selection of their fine clothes and accessories. AKJP are a local collective that curate their own selection of high-quality fashion labels, all available at their Kloof Street shop. In this sense, Créma and AKJP are alike – we both curate a range of luxury brands, and are both a connection point between designers and customers. All the items in the images below are available through their physical store, and a select few are available from their new online store. The shoot was organized by our very own marketing co-ordinator Daniel Boraine (IG: @unoffence) in collaboration with Cape Town photographer Andrea Loupis (IG: @andrealoupis). Together, they conceptualized the shoot, styled the outfits, and in essence, produced the shoot for us.Chloe looking somewhat sombre in our Fan Highback Chair next to a blue Tray Table. Chloe was not only one of our models, but also assisted on set. Embracing multidisciplinary approaches to working was a key aspect to this shoot – stylists were set designers, photographers were stylists, and models were assistants.

Maddy is wearing a Margot Molyneux jacket and pants combo, with Pichulik earrings and Zara sneakers. All of these garments (except the sneakers) are available through AKJP’s store on Kloof StreetAnother shot of Maddy, this time in the Catch JH13 Armchair by &Tradition. David, our head of marketing, sits to his left.Terence sits in the AAC Armchair from HAY. Behind him are Tom Dixon accessories and the Journey Table Lamp from &Tradition. He’s dressed in Couth’s Duality Shirt and Margot Molyneux’s Men’s Trousers. This is one of our personal favourite shots from the shoot – it really shows the similarities between AKJP and Créma; bringing together several design-focused luxury brands in one place.Terence gets comfortable in the Catch JH13 Armchair. This shot was inspired by one of the chair’s manufacturers – &Tradition – own photoshoots.
