Arne Jacobsen’s masterpiece is called the SAS Royal Hotel. Built-in 1960, it was Copenhagen’s highest skyscraper, and for many people, it is still the emblem of contemporary art. Space Copenhagen has now been hired by the hotel to build something modern. The façade is the building’s signature face, says Signe. “On the outside and inside of the house, we were fascinated by colour. As Peter sees it, “We decided somehow to take the city’s views from the top floors into account,” the hotel is truly distinctive from the façade. A horizontal series of windows runs from one side to the other. In our quarters, we also wanted to echo this dimension.

The Bellevue lamp reflects the simplicity of the Modernist Movement and the Bauhaus functionalism of the Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen. Jacobsen’s preference for sleek lines and plain organic forms can be readily identified in the Bellevue Lamp as the guiding force behind Danish Modernism. The famous lamp will restart in three styles: the floor lamp, the three desk-lights and a wall-light, the original Bellevue form of the lamp. Finnish Sami Kallio designer and danish designer Jakob Thau have based most of them on Betty, which is normally under a seat to help. Betty is a feature that most people don’t concentrate on. The webbing therefore gives warmth to your body, and naturally bends a little. In the meantime, the wooden one-piece seat frame is part of an exceptionally lightweight, stackable chair, available in a variety of contemporary colors for the frame. Betty is an honest, explicit design that doesn’t hide anything and that exposes everything. A strong chair when you see that’s soft when you sit there
Whilst experimenting with light reflections and refraction, the Engineer Samuel Wilkinson found a wonderful curved effect when a patterned glass surrounded the light source. That resulted in his design of the Blown Lamp Series and the launch of the Blown Deck Lamp. Choose from silver and opal glass and be fascinated by the effect. The Blown ceiling lamp is turned on and emitts a soft light that projects a cut pattern scattered across the ceiling. Excellent in a home, high-end hotel, bar, lounge or any other room, the Blown name is inspired by the creation of the lamp itself, where every lamp is spun by artisans and expert craftsmen. This is an authentic technique that helps to turn any place into an artistic work by projecting astounding patterns onto the ceilings when lit.
Blown is the first lamp for & Tradition by Samuel Wilkinson’s. It comes in two versions: the transparent one with silverside and sandblasted grey. A mouth bloc pendant is available with a quilted pattern. A powder-coated cast metal suspension is mounted on the pendant. The pendant was designed to investigate light source reflections, distortion and refractions in a patterned glass setting.
A unique characteristic is the quilted surface texture of the Blown table display. The lamp, switched on, reveals a display of reflections and refractions that contributes an intimate and cosy atmosphere to a touch of art. It also has the silver tinted transparent glass in the small Blown pendant by Samuel Wilkinson, secure upright on a marble black base with a dime to change the glare. Ideally placed in a private room, you may make the effect subtle or striking by using the bedside, desk or windowsill, as well as a commercial or retail space.
For Bulb, a new century was shed and a new classic blown by the Danish light artist Sofie Refer. The design refers with thick transparency glass to the first electrical light bulbs. The glamorous nordic heritage continues to Sofie Refer incorporating her own passion and femininity. The little irregularity on the mouth made each pending glass one and added the tale of personal efforts by the glass master to turn sand, soda and crayfish into a modern classic using a thousand-year-old technique.

Critically recognised designer and artist Jaime Hayon is recognised for his imaginative way to design “like an elephant-inspired chair that resembles the large physical shape of his muse’s museum. Looked out from behind, the swell of the two broad ears can easily be seen and emerged from the strong bulk of the chair’s body in a circular curve. There the resemblances don’t stop. The foundation “in metal or solid wood” resembles the creature’s four sturdy legs, whilst the shell is in a range of modern colours with the complete choice of material or leather cover. This evocative work’s influence goes beyond its physical appearance. Although the smooth Elefy’s form is obviously contemporary, the chair has been built comfortably. The cupping shape cosily encloses the sitter on all sides, rather than on blunt edges and an offensive shape. The chair has been built to foster a sense of well-being, just like the calm disposition of an elephant.

Samuel Wilkinson’s Hoof table was mainly inspired by feet sharpened at the ends which create striking yet functional images. The term hoof comes from the defensive portion of ungulate animals ‘ feet. Unlike other tables, the leg ends of Hoof are kept in natural wood so that the paint can not be tamed or knocked during cleaning. By reversing the normal production cycle, the foot details are produced. The majority of furniture with a painted portion and a natural component is mounted, masked and painted initially. Hoof is first painted and then removed to expose the natural straw.

At first glance, Lato looks like a sculpture with an oval-shaped base, with its tall, oval or round tables. A simplicity of form is stunning, graphic and poetic, showing that the plain is elaborate. The original impetus for Lato was first backslidden by the concept of the lollipop. Most people know from childhood a traditional form of a candy. But how do you make a table with lollipop? “I was surrounded by creativity on an island like Murano,” Nichetto explains. The artisans, who I saw transform the abstract concepts in concrete reality, have immense knowledge and love of materials. with Lato, I decided to keep the simplicity and standardize it into a timeless side table in a design that could easily be the subject of attention.’s appreciate this amazing example of a side table sculpture that’s and vice versa.

Mayor shows a moderation of modernism and a unique regional adaptation: the frame is made of solid oak, the upholstery is tight but with three loose cushions that comprise the seating area, and there is generally a more human approach to modernism with a focus on livability. The Setago comes with a story, like many Jaime Hayona s bits. “Swiss word” sets the stage for this eccentric table lamp’s diminutive mushroom proportions. Yet an additional hint of its identification is identified with suffixing ‘go’s, because it can go practically anywhere without being burdened by an electric cord. Instead of stationary movements, they have been quickly picked up from the floor like leaflets and carried from one room to the next. It only needs to be connected to a USB cable to recharge.
The specifics have been carefully considered in other aspects of Setago. Inspired by the artistic style of a Japanese lantern, Hayon merged the superior skill of his cord-free design with very modern capabilities. Despite such technical integration, work is still secret to keep the lamps form clean and uncluttered. The light that it creates is just as critical as the atmosphere, “then a discreet dimmer of brass controls the diffused ambient light is controlled.

The Moor Rugs are the second collection of rugs produced by & Tradition, designed by All The Way to Paris. This time the starting point for ATWTP came from the different gemstone shapes. “We wanted to concentrate solely on forms, colours and textures without patterns,” says Tanja Vibe and Petra Olsson Gendt, ATWTP’s designers and partners. “For us, a rug puts together all the components of space in harmony and provides a feeling of closeness.” The effect is a convincing sense of unity. Especially when you arrange all of the rugs as a cluster of gemstones together. The rugs have a subtle shimmer to the surface, designed to mimic a gemstone’s qualities.

Together with color, the naval engineering sketches of his father became a lifelong obsession with ships and vessels. Koskinen started out with the Working Title Table Lamp with the concept of a small sculpture for a table. Three basic components were present: a base, a stem and a shadow. It makes the luminaire more elegant. The smooth coating is pleasing to the touch and the eye. The base’s circular shape is mirrored in shade form, with the two being connected by a flexible, swivel stem.
